All ABC members are encouraged to join us for this special meeting with new Massachusetts Labor and Workforce Secretary Lauren Jones.  Appointed earlier this year by Governor Maura Healey, Sec. Jones is the driving force behind the state’s workforce development efforts to expand and diversify the labor pool for Massachusetts, including in construction.  Secretary Jones will outline the state’s plans and direct support available to ABC member employers through workforce training grants.  Secretary Jones is a dynamic leader with two decades of work in key public and private sector roles,  most recently as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable.  ABC leadership recently met with Secretary Jones and discussed our efforts to bring more people into the construction trades, and how restrictive apprentice to journey person ratios limit hiring at this critical time.  Please join is at this meeting to meet and hear from Secretary Jones and show your support for expanding the construction employment pipeline.
